I sent them an email yesterday with some tech questions and price and delivery, but would be good to talk to someone one here who already has one. Reading through there online help files its extremely advanced in what it can do, ie no need for a shift kit if you got one of theses, its fully programmable over throttle and rpm, so you could make it so the auto drives like normal under light cruise mode, then snaps into gears at high load. You can also change the shift rpm for each gear.

Got this from PowerTrain solutions,
----------------------------------------- The A340e is one of our more popular transmissions. When is comes to shift time the transmission is limited mechanically to a minimum shift time. The only way to make it faster would be with a shift kit. We can control the line pressure and set it to the max at WOT, giving you a marginal increase in shift firmness. Also, certain year A340's don't have electronic pressure control so you'll have to verify that you version of the A340 has it. -------------------------------------------
Looks like you'll still need a mechanical shift kit if you want quick shift times.

The F-Con can be used on an auto Soarer without the need for this transmission kit. The Power FC on the otherhand cannot and would need something like this if it could at all. (Not sure on this one as I have never used the PFC)
Benny, there was talk of a paddle shift set up long ago on the ALSC but I didn't hear if anyone actually got one fitted. I'm sure there are some pages on the paddle shift.
For me though I'd wanna get the gated shifter that the US guys got in their 97~ SC300/400.

For around $200 you can buy one of MV automatics shift controller and use your original shift, theirs only one thing wrong with a paddle shift setup, your original shift becomes a waste of space.
