Ah well after flushing the fluid and adjusting the line pressure cable i have my car "mostly" working . it wasnt changing gears until i completely let off the throttle and taking a few seconds in each gear (now all gears are fine except going 1st to 2nd have to take food off for 1 second). now i was wondering who would be best to help me in this situation, i was going to get a 1.5 shift kit from mv done at the same time.
also i did the diagnosis mode and nothing came up, could solenoids still be dodgy?

EETS FAKKED MAET!
I had the same problem with my gearbox. Without an expert opening it up and checking it out the theories that were thrown around related to the clutch packs.
If you can find a cheap second hand box you will be better off financially than getting it rebuilt or *gasp* a new one from Toyota.
I ended up paying $250 for a second hand box and a transmissions garage bought my old one for $100.
Replacement hasnt skipped a beat!
Check with import wreckers or second hand parts importers...
