My brother has twin TD05's on his 1JZ soarer and is looking at a converter upgrade. I have heard great reviews about the MV 2800 unit which people are saying can stall up to over 4000rpm.
So who has one and how do you like it? How high can you stall it up to?

I have one in my Soarer, with my old twins it was perfect, I could get about 3300rpms using just the footbrake, it was alright, but with my single it's way too low now, going to be upgrading to a 3200rpm converter in the near future.

Thanks mate. He can build around 5 psi and stall the stock converter to 3000 with the TD05s, so I guess the 2800 would be OK then eh? I take it you cant stall it now with your new turbo because it doesn't make enough boost down low to load the converter up?
Did you ever try stalling it up with the stock twins using the handbrake?
