ive got the flywheel of to get machnined, just wondering what the torque for the flywheel bolts is?

Also il put some pictures up, but my clutch started to slip, so i assumed it was the clutch plate worn. So removed it, The clutch disk isnt really that bad, its worn but no where near enough to make it slip on its own. The flywheel and pressure plate sufaces had these kinda dimples on them, but there were areas that still had the machine marks on it. Weird, heres some pics

Does this look like the standard clutch or an aftermarket one? The previous owner said he put a 3000kg one in. But i dont know, it did have a fair bit of pressure on the pedal though

Flywheel torque is 54 ft-lbs or 74 Nm

Toyota Bolt and Nut Torque chart is as follows

it funny you know it hard to tell, because my friend has the same car and is a manual with a stock clutch, and my pedal effort is a lot less then his and mine is 1400kg 60% over standard.. a 3ton plate is massive. why would you even want that i dont know..

Probably 3000lbs not kgs. Kgs would be far too much.

Clamping pressure increases don't necessarily mean increase pedal pressure.

That pressure plate is badly worn, those blue spots are heat buildup points from where the clutch has been slipping.

ah, so you think that the pressure plate has worn to point that its not proving enough clamping pressure? It probably is pounds, sorry. Does anyone know the pressure of the exedy?

Its been slipping bad when power is put through for the last few weeks, aka why ive been driving it easily. I was expecting to find a more prominant heat mark, like around the whole surface. Not just little recessed heat marks. There are alot of areas on the plate and flywheel where there are still machine marks from when they originally machined the plate.

Either way im getting the plate tested when i go and get my flywheel machined just for names sake and getting the proffesionals to inspect it. Cant wait to get my exedy in, its been to long without power HAHA

3000lbs is common enough on a uprated pressure plate. Jim Berry does his to 3400lbs The plate is definetly modified, i just checked a couple of old ones.

The quoted torque of the flywheel bolts sounds right apart from they get a 90deg second torque. Its been quoted on here before so just do a search.
