Hi Michael, swapping the new auto in i see.
At the back of the block, facing the auto, there is a little rubber bung, kidney shaped, sort of. remove that. Rotate the engine by the crank bolt in the harmonic balancer until you see the bolts holding the torque convertor to the flex plate. Undo the one you can see , rotate the engine some more, undo the next. 6 bolts in total.
There is quite narrow access there, an offset ring spanner or just a socket on a 1/4 drive can get to them.
