Hi guys,

I need tips for installing a transmission cooler myself....

do I need to drop any fluids before install?

where do the 2 lines that are on the transmission cooler run to on a 1jz ?

I have a davies craig large cooler.

any hints / pictures would be great.

Just remove one of the auto trans hoses from the bottom of your radiator & clamp it off not to lose fluid, run a new hose from the radiator auto trans connection to your new cooler and back from the new cooler to the aluminium pipe of the hose you first removed from the radiator (after you remove that hose completely) leave it til last so you don't lose fluid.

Keep using the factory radiator cooler as it is also used to pre-heat your auto trans when it is cold.
