Hey guys,

I had a issue with my V8 for the first time.

When I started it and put it in reverse it made the reverse peep but would not engage gear correctly - It felt like it was on 1/4 load and the car would kinda move but just rev like it was slipping.

I moved it to N and Drive and enventually put it into N and rev'ed it a little and i then heard a click the car moved and it went into all gears fine.

It drove fine the rest of the way to work.

Any ideas - it was strange to me.

R154 conversion might have to be kicked into gear early :-)

Had it been standing for long?

OK its not that,...some times in the car yard if the Soarers has stood for a long time the converter used to drain ,took a few seconds for it to engage.
Oil level OK ?

Mine has a similar problem, but with Drive, when the car is cold.
Every morning, and after 8 hours at work, it takes up to a minute to engage drive. Reverse still engages instantly...

Once it has engaged it is fine!
Any ideas??
