I think the tt torque converter is bigger. Any other differences? I'm think about using one on my tt from a 1JZ-GE engine which are widely available here. It has A3040le (or something to that effect) written on the side plate.

The JZZ30 and JZZ31 A340's are the same AFAIK - TT probably has a larger cooler, but thats external anyway. A340E (UZZ3x) is a different beast.

No, There are 2 different torque convertors . Different spline counts and different flash/stall speeds.

Thanks for the response guys.

So it's a bad idea to swap my torque converter into one and run it on my TT then?

If the input shaft spline counts are different then I guess you wouldn't get the torque converter to hook up anyway. Crazy Toyota!
