hi people i have a m90 eton on and since ive installed it i have had trouble with the auto holding in gear too long before shifting i have backed the kickdown cable right off but it still holds gears too long,i mean engine will limit out in revs before changing, and have to back off to make it shift, even when, i don't have my foot flat.trans shifts fine if i have my foot under half throttle so trans is actually ok is there an easy fix for this? thanks for any suggestions

Just a suggestion, I had a guy run put my soarer into a curb, one of the things that it did was break the transmission mount. It did the same thing, would bounce go deep into the red and not shift if i didn't back off a little. As soon as i replaced the mount it was back to normal shifting. So maybe check nothing is loose or the box isn't moving around? Not very mechanically enclined so i hope that might give you some ideas to check.

i understand there is a vaulve/screw that increases the pressure in the trans if i turn this and increase the pressure, will this help the shifting problem i have? anyone

hi Murray. generally when our A34x gearboxes behave as you describe, it is because they are starting to wear internally. probably expected given the age, km , and the power from a supercharged one. would you like to try my spare trans? its from a TT, so the first gear will be slightly lower ratio, but apart from that should bolt up fine.

thanks blake,i think i will just put up with it for now. not like i'm giving it a hard time much and it shifts ok as long as you dont give it more than 3/4 throttle, and i cant be f..cked with the hassle of changing it ,but thanks for the offer il just keep driving until something goes wrong ,hopefully not
