Don't know the answers to your questions but I was recommended by a ford drag racer not to use c4's as they are no way near as strong as a turbo 400 or glide. 90% of people swapping autos in Supras go for the TH400.

yeah but chris iam not goin to be a everyday drag racer so i dont really need a bullet proof box as such, but do you know why they were not strong enough in terms of clutchs or pump, cheers chris.

I never got any more info on it. He said that if you are looking at running 10's in a 3600lb car the c4 is not a good option. But if you are not going to be racing all the time then it should be ok I guess. Personally, I would just got for an MV built a340e unless you are a HARDCORE racer.

depends how streetable you want it.. but with that much power i'd be looking at a powerglide if you want to run a decent time. The manual will not get you a good time..
WKED is a good example running a high 12 with a manual at 140 or so mph then going to powerglide made an 10.02 without any other changes

wow that is a massive difference christian but a powerglide is a 2speed and the c4 is 3speed, so i want it a little streetable as it is still a daily driver, man i hope i can get at least a 11sec pass i will be happy.

The glide is a good option I think. Even though it is only a 2 speed it still has 2nd as 1:1 which is the same as the c4’s 3rd gear so you don’t lose any top speed but you can take advantage of the long gearing as it helps spool up turbos in some cases. (extra load)
I think it would be great to only have to change gears once every time you take off. I think you have to get up to some decent speeds before it changes out of first. I remember my dad telling me stories of 100mph in 1st gear with a glide Plus they are unbreakable when built.

I thought it was NSW rego. car but Subzero on Gold Coast did the work. I did see it parked at Sizzler one night when I was at the gold coast so it was street driven!!! Ran 9.88 best ET using a c4 IIRC but with only 2 gears because something wasn't going right.
