ok my cars fairly scewed atm and got it booked in to change the tranny n stuff. but i cant push it back or reverse, its like its still in gear. is there anything i can change or disconnect to move it back?

Sounds like the park locking plate is still in place on the flywheel??

Disconnect the prop shaft? That'll let you move it, and if the box has to come out its going to have to be done anyway.

yeah just let go the drive shaft, when you find out what cause the tranny to do that please update.

hah well i still got the same issue still (havent fixed my car yet) but i taking out the driveshaft and stuff tomorrow ill see whats causing the problem, could be diff hey? i got an open diff with 300hp and i thrash it regularly

Are you Sure its not just the button on top of the shifter not disengaging?

Remove the shifter and shifter surround and have a look at the base of the shifter, when the button on the shifter is pressed the pin at the base should lift allowing you to move the shifter.

hm not sure, its on ramps now and taking out box (it was slipping anyway) gonna try putting it in myself too. ill see about opening it up later i bet theres stuff broken all in it (sounded pretty bad before...)

is there anything in specific i have to do to put it back in? ie aligning anything or replacement parts would be good?
