G'Day all, first post and all, go easy on me
I have had my soarer 6 days and counting, so far I've lowered it a little (air susp).
I noticed if I'm doing about 70-80kph, if I let off the accelerator for a moment and reapply my foot (even just lightly) you can feel the car kind of clunk back into gear. When I say clunk, you can't hear anything but you feel a slight single shunt of the car 'engaging' the gear you're in again. I was wondering if it could be transmission/engine mounts, or simply something like a gearbox service needed?
Freshly imported, minimal wear on anything, 47,020k's on the clock (genuine).

I think mine does that also but that is only with Over Drive OFF.... im gettin an Auto Tranny service very soon, hopefully that will remedy the problem,
just got to figure out where to get a decent deal in Brisbane.

Hey Peter, is there anything that can be altered to make this less noticeable? Like a diff service? I'd imagine you're right because the feeling appears to come from the rear of the car..
No, and it might be something else perhaps? The TC lock action is reasonably subtle, I notice it because I know it's there and I can also hear it through the V8 rumble exhaust as it changes

Mine does it, and the local Auto Tranny shop checked it out and said "No worries mate", thats the norm. And as Peter said it's just torque converter lock doing it's thing.
Not a bang or a thump..........more of a perceptible "Schlumpf" (New word).

TC lock shouldnt "clunk" and seeing the TC is in front of your seating position not behind, if the feeling is coming from behind Id start by checking/changing your diff oil. Could be a little diff slap.
