Hi all has anyone ever machined or skimmed the flywheel I've just purchased a conversion kit and the flywheel is a tad worn and Im not sure if this will have an effect on the clutch

get it skimmed mate, a warped flywheel will decrease the contact area of the plate and will induce slipping in higher gears under boost.

Shouldnt cost more than 50 bucks

The correct way to machine the soarer flywheel is via a constant velocity lathe.

The flwyheel must also be setup with the clutch to provide adequate clamp. This is why the friction contact area is raised and the pressure plate area is recessed slightly, about 0.5-1mm.
