I've picked myself up an aristo auto trans, my soarers trans is shot i think(from wrong fluid, curse you amsoil ATF!) and this tranny was only 200bucks including torque converter.
I see alot about supra swaps. and i have done an auto to auto swap from a 7M supra (MK3) which required swapping the bell housing and tailshaft from the soarer tranny onto the supra tranny to fit...

specifically i dont know if i need a flex plate (drive plate) and bolts, if theres anything else different, or if the aristo got pretty much the same transmission, with maybe a need to swap bell housings...

I'm pretty sure the Aristo's transmission has the line pressure controlled by the ECU, where as the Soarer ECU uses a cable attached from the throttle body transmission.
So you are going to have to use the Valve body from the Soarer transmission (assuming everything is good with it) and attach it to the aristo box, so you can retain the cable for line pressure control since your 1jz ECU will not be able to control the line pressure of the Aristo box.
That being said, I assume the Aristos box on the 2jz has line pressure controlled by the ECU like the Supra 2jz box does

Didnt end up fitting it, swapped the valve body. Got it to bolt up. Wiring and custom tail shaft are the main problems. I think Lew is the only person to have done this but he is a clever guy! Im restricted with money at the moment. For a car i paid $14k for and have now spent almost $25k I cant justify spending too much more on it. Its sat in the garage longer than what i have been able to drive it for over the last 3 years. Just 1 problem after another and too many ----- ripping me off. Totally Imports on the sunshine coast seriously wanted $900 for a stock 1JZ box that had done 180 000 kms. I picked up this aristo 1 for $250. Wish i had done more research. Soarer Central is ALWAYS incredibly helpful, you just have to listen to the right guys on here and not the guys who pretend to know it all with 20 posts total

You can fit it. It's just a lot of hassle; especially the kick-down cable requirement and the custom tail-shaft because the box has a weird 3 bolt setup.
