Car has been laid up for about 6 months to a year since I canned everything and we started her up today.

So far:
- Starts and idles fine
- All diagnostics are clear
- The car will not shift out of Park

Tested:
- Override switch / No change
- ECU Reset / No change
- Gearbox ecu reset / No change

The shifter seems physically locked into place, I get the feeling there is some kind of lock out solenoid that is causing me problems here.

Anyone have an idea on what could be causing the issue?

Also;
- The break lights are fine, so that isn't stopping it.
- The te1 - e1 diagnostic check isn't showing a fault code.

Very strange. Have you tried pressing the red button to manually disengage? I'm pretty sure its red, its a small button with Jap writing on it. Could be a black button. Its near the PRND section at the top.

Solenoid could be faulty - take the surround out and see if it moves?
