hey guys, just recently bought a soarer and i love it!
I also like running in the hills, (not stupidly but i do like cruising around up there) and i was wondering what sort of things i could do to make the auto box perform better in the hills, and not act so lacklustre, as i know they tend to lose more power than through a manual box. I don't have the funds to convert to manual but i still want to make driving in the hills more of a fun experience.
would something like a shift kit achieve what i'm looking for?

I agree Peter.
I'm guessing a rather standard 1jz. Just use the box as it is. L -> 2 -> D 9it's all good). Not sure if the 1jz is the same as the 1uz but the ecu limits timing on shifts to make the change smooth hence the "lacklustre". If your running some reasonable power I would look at playing with the auto with a shift kit.
