hey guys, I'm new here, so here goes.
I have a JZX90 1J TT auto, and it is slipping. i know i need another trans so i need to know what fits.
I'm unsure if its an A340E or a A341E. wikipedia doesn't make it clear. i'm pretty sure its a A340E, so what i really need to know is will a soarer 1jz TT trans fit (jzz30).
i also heard n/a boxes are weaker than the TT boxes, even though its the same on the outside. So, if someone can clarify, that would be great.

hey mate,
try flushing it properly, or getting it professionally flushed.
has the same problem in my soarer and just tonight i flushed ten litres of fluid thru it and got lots of fluid that looked like river water out, now shifting like a charm and no slipping!

serious?? i asked around, each and every trans specialist told me once it slips that bad, theres no return. pretty much like a slipping clutch on a manual, just gotta get it replaced. mine slipped really bad, as in 80km/h @ 5500rpm!!!

yeah i got the same word from a couple of trans shops, but then thought for the sake of $100 in fluid to see if it helps, its definately worth it. yeah i had similar slipping like that.. mainly when about to change gear or when you stab the throttle. i'd say its worth a shot.
