Mine seemed to make the farting noise between shifts louder. My throttle response was a lot harsher in general too especially when it dropped a gear when you stomped it. Very fun to drive with the ol mines Gonna miss it!

When I did have the Tom's it did just that..! Harsher changes.. The farting effect was removed with the shift kit and was even harsher.. Almost race like changes...

Cheers. At least I am not the only one that has this placebo effect! The general consensus is that the ECU doesn't affect the gearbox, but I like to think NOT!

Finally a different view. Any others?
Maybe the transmission is not affected by ECU directly but its the raised rev limit that affects it, hence with the EMB it would still allow a higher rev limit?
What about when you changed from stock to Mine's? I suppose its the same as well?

Each modified stock ecu is different depending on what the customer wanted.
The speedcut and Boost cut seem to be pretty standard. But fuel, timing, and rev limit are to the customers request.
I read somewhere on here that some people have emailed there serial numbers to Mines in the past to find out exactly what was done to theirs, But I wouldn't hold your breath for a response haha.
Its not possible for the ECU to change shift times as such, but the Mines made acceleration a lot more agressive (throw you back in the seat kind of feel) than stock, So it was a blast to drive!
