Just this morning, my transmission makes a high pitch noise on start up.

The high pitch noise goes away within 5 mins when in drive.

Also I notice that when its cold the shift are harsh, feels like someone nudge me from behind.

When the transmissions warms up, everything shifts like normal, ie smooth and no high pitch noise.

MY transmission has been flush about 15000km ago and never has been trashed.

Everything is original on the tranny.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the internal water cooler has leaked and things are getting rusty.
Any glycol smell or do you need to top up your radiator regularly?
A re-build will cost heaps as you're at their mercy.

The radiator is tight as a drum. The top plastic tank has been replaced about 2 years ago by Bond Tech. It was pressure tested and all is good.

Any no I'm not loosing any coolant.

I don't want to junk the UZZ32 its too rare to do that. I just want to keep it running as long as possible - in an original condition.

Just dip g/box fluid ! it goes pinky white if water gets in through the rad cooler.
You could be listening to your p/steering pump ,they whine sometimes till warm ,Oh hang on its a 32 could it be the suspension pump ?? you would have used type 4 for your flush??

To think about it could be the suspension pump, as most of the noise sounds like its coming from the right hand side, ie where the suspension/power steering pump is!!

Yep, flush only with Toyota type IV. Always.
