So trying to find out if anyone has tryed to purchase a manual shifter surround lately and what price you got offered from toyota. I am guessing that my local Toyota dealer isn't fond of imports.

yep i purchased one last year or so, was about the $70 from castle hill. they'll express post it anywhere as well

Part number is 58805-24030, either Castle Hill Toyota or Kudo Motorsport are the best place to get them, ~$70-80 when you factor shipping in.
