I am in the process of removing the interior of my car to install new, black carpet. I got the rear seat base and front seats out. And started on the centre console. The last bolt I removed was the rear one, under the arm rest, that goes into a floor above the transmission. This bolt is soaked in oil.....
Now, I ran out of light to do anything more. But any ideas what could be going on?

Ok, for starters the oil is black. So no tranny oil (double checked the oil on the tranny dipstick is red lol). So, given I don't have any oil on the ground where the car is parked, nor have I noticed any change in level on the oil dipstick. I'm at a lose.
I have noticed that there is WAY to much oil in the engine, and the guy I bought it off told me the last service it had they put in too much. So, is there an overflow pipe somewhere, that could be causing the oil to get up under the vehicle, around where the bolts for the centre console go?

honestly, I just think that it is from something spilt in the centre console. Nothing from the engine could get that far back in you console without soaking all through your carpet. Considering that it is such a nice neat little puddle, it has drained through the bolt hole or crack in your console and pooled. Just wipe it up.
