Anyone know if this would be a suitable transmission for transplanting in to a UZZ31 ?

It's a 6 speed manual. I can't find any specifics regarding gearing or strength vs a box like the W58 or r154.

I'd like to know this too. How cheap are they? Could be a cheap alternative if you aren't making big power (or input torque if we're being pedantic).

I saw one for sale for NZ$2,000 with only 26,000kms behind it. Whether or not it would physically fit is the first concern, but also coming from a lighter car, what sort of torque it could handle.

From the limited amount of information about it on the internet it appears atleast stronger then the Aisin az6 (s2000, altezza, s15, gt86 6 spd gearbox). The ra6x series seems to be based on the aisin ay6 used in toyota trucks both diesel and petrol in the U.S so they should be able to handle more torque then its altezza sibling so it may or may not be the modern day r154. That said for $2000 its much cheaper then a new remote shift r154 so its worth a try.
