Hi guys,
Just wanted to know my MV automatics 1.5 shift kit shifts fine between first and second, second to third but from 3rd to 4th when your doing mid range hundreds it revs right out to the 7000rpm before shifting, this seems a little delayed to me or is this normal???
Maybe it's also because I'm running less power at the moment at 13 psi as opposed to 18 psi because I'm using the stock ecu that I'm noticing this but if it should change earlier I'd like to know.

as 4th gear is never changed into under power, they don't improve the 3rd to 4th shift. It's the cruise gear, and is likely to be weaker. 3rd gear at wide open throttle takes you to around 200-205km/h, so covers most eventualities on the drag strip.

with your foot flat, the gears should hold until around 6500-7000rpm and then change up. But with partial throttle, the rpm of the shift points are variable, as they are determined by input from the map sensor/speed sensor/throttle position sensor. The stage 1.5 shift kit should NOT try to change the factory programmed shift points, but just makes each shift faster/quicker(more crisp) The 1.5 was designed to do really firm changes under full throttle, but more gentle changes(still crisper than the slurring factory gear change) under light throttle applications. It replaced the stage two, which did shudderingly firm gear changes at light throttle(or even just moving the gear lever from "park" to "R") (note: it has been several years since i drove a stock ECU soarer.)

Thanks heaps for your help Blake...I have noticed 2 things. A. I am a complete idiot as it was 2nd to 3rd gear on full throttle, the 2nd would rev right out to 7000 rpm on the dot then change which I hope is normal, sounds like it.
B. Because I have less power than before due to waiting on my emanage to be tuned I'm not used to it taking so long to reach the 7000rpm mark. So as long as on full throttle from 2nd to 3rd it revs right up to 7000 rpm we are sweet I'm a happy lad
