drain the fluid, remove the drive shaft, disconnect the wiring you can see and the cooler pipes, then remove the shifter assembly from inside the car. once this is done i would suggest that you break all the bellhousing bolts you can then undo the gearbox cross member bolts and with a jack allow the motor and gearbox to rock back then you can use 2 long extensions and a swivel bit to get the last few bolts. remove the starter as it makes life better than trying to hang it somewhere. then use a trans jack or like i did a small trolly jack with a piece of braced ply bolted to it and support the gearbox with it and then you and your second pair of hands can wiggle it out from there. hope that helps

So everything worked a treat getting the bellhousing bolts off using my rattle gun. All except to bolts on the drivers hand side. They wont budge and i am worried that the head of the bolt will be worn down if i dont crack it soon. Anyone have any ideas?

did you try to crc the thread side? there is a loctite product you can get that will freeze the bolt that my help and if all else fails use a spanner and shock it sometimes that's all it needs. you could also try putting the other bolts back in and tightening them up and try to crack the stubborn ones as the bell housing may be putting extra force on them. good luck with it
