pick your brand mate im a penrite bloke but its up to you i was recommended to use mineral 75w 90 gear oil but i think i might try a synthetic oil next to see if the shift is a little nicer but it takes about 2l from memory but the way to tell when its full is to have the car level and fill it till the oil trickles out of the fill point

I researched this a little while back and came to the conclusion that Castrol VMX 80 is what you want and change it every year or two ;)

I used Redline lightweight shockproof and it helped somewhat with the shift.
Don't overfill it! If it overflows through the filler hole, you've got too much oil!
