Tailshaft and clutch are no good to you, need a custom flywheel and clutch, tailshaft from a tt and that will need to shortened, pedals master cylinder short shifter. Best get in contact with Neil Griffiths and see if he still does the kits

I'm guessing it can either be a manual or auto tailshaft since it needs to be modified anyway. Might as well use an auto one since people give them away these days.

you'll need: a master cylinder clutch lines manual shifter surround (plastic interior) not sure what you do with the speed sender/sensor

you'll need a speedo corrector for sure, t56 pulse rate is way higher than toyota ones. mine still reads 10% over on best adjusted setting lol

That's the one Andrew, email them and tell them that you need a unit for 2 wire sensor to a 3 wire vehicle, if I remember correctly you need to measure the resistance or if it's an open or closed circuit of the sensor on the t56 (they well tell you what to do) and send that as well

Yep, I did have to put a resistor across 2 wires somewhere as the t56 sensor seems to pickup a lot of interference and makes the speedo jump up intermittently while standing still, not good if your on the outside as it triggers the auto door lock

I'd say about 7K done myself with full kit from Neil with twin plate and brand new T56 magnum, one piece 3.5" tailshaft. Jesus Andrew 4K is below cost, good deal.

Holy. I'm planning on doing it all myself but if I have trouble I might be able to get Mario Lantini to give me a hand. He replaced my engine a while back up north. Do you guys know where I can pick up most parts? For this build.

Neil may still make kits, that would be the easiest way by far. I got mine done by Brintech Customs down here in Sydney, they could get you/make you everything you need as well but you're in qld so not real convenient for you

Yeah, Neil was talking to me about running a T56 magnum in the race car a couple of weeks ago. I'll cross that bridge if I ever break the R154

You can buy the adaptor plus flywheel & clutch of EBay, castlemane rod shop do a whole package for $1500.00 The adaptor will work with UZ & JZ engines. If you want cheaper still just buy the adaptor & get a twin or triple plate nascar clutch for nothing on US eBay. Pedals & master from a wrecker. You can shorten the V8 driveshaft but you'll need to purchase a uni of the D/shaft shop. Sideshow can sell you a speedo corrector ready to go.

I have sourced a T56, from a BA XR8, to fit to my UZZ31. What needs to be done with the ECU? Everything else I can sort out or fabricate.
