I have a 1991 Soarer V8 and when I accelerate there is a bad vibration until I get to cruising speed.....then any acceleration from there gives that same vibration. It usually happens when the car is warm. It does not happen every day but at its worse it feel like driving in a washing machine. I have also noticed a ticking noise coming from under the car around the transmission area. This noise goes away when put into drive but remains when in reverse. My transmission guys think it might be the torque convertor on its way out but I wanted your thoughts as well.

New discovery
Transmission is changing into high gears too soon. This is causing the engine to struggle (much like in a manual when you go into say 4th too soon the engine bunny hops). If I change manually then its fine .......and thoughts????
