Hello Soarer people.

Just had a solenoid replaced a while back and currently have a new problem.

Car sometimes will not kick down over 50kmh. Car will sometimes kick down if turning, and car is on an angle.

What does this suggest? Faulty wiring?

I also read (unsure if true) that the Soarer should not kick down if steering wheel is turned.If so, sounds like an ECU problem as it kicks down when turning, but not when going straight.

possibly unrelated, but also have a problem when cruising at 100kmh with cruise control on.

Sometimes it will slip back a gear and rev too high.
Must turn CC off and then it acts normal again.

Just thought is the fluid a nice red colour and is it at the right level on dip stick ,??

Turned out to be the fluid. Thanks Dave. Fluid was pretty bad. Re filled with mobil 3309 trans fluid which is apparently the same as toyota type 4.
