I'm pretty sure this is right, just making sure.

So MTL can be used in Gearboxes and Transaxels, but LWSP can only be used in Gearboxes, right? I think I'm confusing myself lol :-)

Redlines website says LWSP is not recommended in most syncro-type trans? So is it safe to use in our cars or what do they mean?

"A unique gear oil designed to lubricate racing transmissions and transaxles which see serious loads (not recommended for most syncro-type transmissions)."

Jack - That is not what I was informed of when I spoke with a (Brendan???) at Redline years ago.

He advised me to use some Lightweight Shockproof oil in my GT4 at the time to fix problems with my worn synchro's. I used it, and DAMN did it do a good job at it...until i kinda killed it.

I have some Redline MTL for sale if you're interested.

Here's the link to my for sale thread:

I'll drop the price to $90 plus postage.

My gearbox is notchy like Todds so i also use Redline Lighweight Shock Proof, And it has fixed my problems.

I was using MTL but i was having some trouble with 3rd gear. LWSP fixed that.

But in saying that, there has been some gearboxs that have stuffed up by using the Redline LWSP.

So if i were you, i would try the Redline MTL 1st and see how you go. If you dont like it, put some LWSP in there.

BTW Dennis, The 3.78Ltrs should be enough, I had some left over when i used the LWSP.
