I`m relatively new to the soarer and to the forum so be patient with me all you experts. When i do mostly about town driving my V8 has a habit of flashing the o/d light and the ECT light comes on and an alarm bell goes off (well the normal sound when you leave a door open or something like that) I automatically turn the overdrive off coz i don`t know whats happening. any explanations?It does`nt seem to happen when i`m on a motorway or driving faster.

Check the trans fluid,

maybe run diagnostics and see if it comes up with anything.
