Have a look down the page as I am sure there is another thread re this. Find UKautomod and follow that :-) Do it yourself and it will cost you about $10 maximum :-)

If you order the shift kit, you can get any transmission shop to install it. Don't take it to a normal mechanic as he may not have gasket material on hand to cut you a new gasket.

$150 should get it installed, sump resealed and transmission flushed.

There is a tutorial on Planet Soarer on how to install it yourself if you can jack the car up at home. You don't need any special knowledge to do it.

Soarers don't use gaskets for the transmission pan. Just silicone/gasket sealant.

I dont mind taking it to a shop that can do it. Just dont like Mechanics using my car as their 1st if ya know what i mean. Something always gets F*&Ked up then, hehe. Ok, thanks guys, will give MV a call on monday.

Also Any of you out there with a 1.0 Shift kit can tell me how much better than stock it was? Dont wanna quite go the 1.5 if its tooo harsh(gotta keep the mrs happy) after all, she let me buy it:-)

I went for a ride in Benny's car with a stage 1, It seemed pretty good. Quite smooth with normal driving, but fairly firm when flogging it.

Don't do the 1.5. She will be very unhappy. You'll probably get away with a stage 1 if you drive sensible while she's in the car.

Pretty sure Niall could do it here in Sydney, a Expert when it comes to soarers, just double check with him though.

Sorry don't have his number on me at the moment, business is called Bond Auto Tech, located in Botany.
