Hi all, just something I noticed this morning driving to work, I'm not sure if it is normal or not. Driving at about 107-8kph so about 2500rpm. When you put down your foot a little to accelerate the revs will rise fairly normally and you get an easy acceleration. Put you foot down a little more however and the revs will rise to about 3000rpm, it feels like it has dropped down a gear. To test this theory i turned overdrive off but it wanted to closer to 4000rpm at that speed, so it can't be dropping down a gear.

So I'm just wondering what this is, what is engaging, is it a problem? Hope I have exlpained this well enough. :-)

Lock up clutch in the torque converter is unlocking. The same will happen in 3rd gear too.
