Hey guys, while the motor was out, My clutch (Which was only replaced 5 months ago) has about 1mm of meat left, so Im going to change. This one was a 4 puck brass, mechanic saying brass doesnt last too long. He is going to order a 5 puck Ceramic Exedy, but my friends tell me its too harsh, and break box's. Mind you, they drive nissans lol (S15 and R32 GTR) Do I need to worry about this, or is it their power levels (250rwkw S15 and 350kw all 4 GTR) that is breaking their gearbox's? Note, I run a JZA80 W58.

Cheers

Shane, give Jim Berry a call from RaceClutch in Qld (07) 3847 9999.

Explain to him your situation, current gearbox, power level and see what he suggests. He really knows his stuff, and has built several custom clutches for members on this forum (me included).

Shane.
I am using the Unique Auto Sports 5puck ceramic-metalic clutch. It is much heavier than the factory one, but can be slipped a little unlike a brass button. Cost me $595 exchange.
This is a pull type clutch, like the factory soarer, so i'm not sure if it will go in a W58, but they have other kits too.
