I have to offer big thanks to these guys. Australia Post lost the first shift kit they sent so they got another one over to me via TNT in time for the drags on the weekend.

Top service and a so far great product!

Luke, a search would show you that MV is the place that sells the shift kits. A contact phone number is only 2 posts above yours.

I'd like to vouch for Michael i.e. M&V Automatics I had my gearbox completely rebuilt, new stronger clutch packs put in plus the addition of secondary clutch packs, a 3000rpm stally and a stage 1.5 shift kit. (I put in B&M oil cooler with thermo switch and fan in order to compensate for the heat in the oil due to the 3000rpm stally). Gearbox work cost me $2600 + $220 shipment to and from Brisbane to him in S.A. This box is ridiculous seriously changes are lightning quick and back breakingly harsh (exactly what I asked for, however you tell him what you're after and he'll build it just give him a call the guy is always keen to help out).

What do higher stall mods actually achieve?

Doesnt it mean the transmission will slip for higher rpm than a lower stall? Wouldnt that be bad for turbo cars, as you want the turbos to engage as soon as possible that wont happen until the engine is under load? (Reving in N produces no boost!? )

I'm confused, i keep seeing people talking about high stall kits and i dont understand how they can be beneficial..

No way. The best thing you can to for a turbo car is get a higher stall. Just say you have full boost by 3000 and you get a 3000rpm stall converter. If you do this you will basically eliminate turbo lag. If you sit at the lights with your foot hard on the brakes and floor it the revs will go to 3000 and you will have full boost so when you let off the brake you will launch like demon.
