I post in this section of the forum FAR too much!
My stock-ish TT (just a cat-back) has auto trans problems still.
IF I stomp on the throttle from idle the car will accelerate thru the gear quite quickly BUT it tends to "blip". It also does the same thing if the car is stalled up (I usually stall around 2300rpm) Is this normal?
The second problem, if I give the car "the boot" at 70k's or more, it will shudder in gear until a fairly high RPM (5-5000) and then it will all of a sudden stop shuddering and the car accelerates ALOT quicker. Change gear and same thing.
I've noticed under 70k's (70k is a there-a-bouts speed) the car will not shudder at all and feels fantastic
This happens with both OD on & off, power mode on & off.
Trans currently has T-IV fluid. It also appears to be over-filled to the hot level when cold.
Anyone have ideas on what is causing the problems?

What do you mean by blip? The engine will make a fluttering noise between gear changes under noise; thats it limiting itself from blowing up.
Check that your tranny fluid isnt burnt or smelling funny. It should be ruby red and without a very distinct odour.
The shuddering could be the boost cut also, does a orange picture light up on your dash? What is likely to be happening is when you accel whilst traveling, the transmission kicks down a gear which would be sucking more boost through and could cause a cut. I havent heard of a shuddering effect from boost cut before though... check the fluid ;)

70kph is the rough point where it switches from 3rd to 4th/OD, I find mine will flick back and forth between those gears rapidly under certain conditions when I do that speed. Maybe your box does something similar. Maybe even a kickdown cable issue? If yours has a kickdown cable that is.
Obviously it could be many things, but it sounds alot like the prob I had, which turned out to be stuffed engine mounts. Once I got them changed it was smooth as silk.}
