heres a word or two from neil wen installing a stally. some members might find it usefull as he said:
You will loose about 5 ltrs of fluid. The cooler lines are going to annoy you dripping while doing the job,,hehehe
DON"T fill the stally before installing.. NOW..This is the carefull part.. Make sure you feel 3 clicks inward when installing the convertor. (Need to wiggle / push / turn the convertor when doing this..) If you put the gearbox upto engine and convertor is hard against the flex plate. You havnt installed the convertor properly.. The convertor MUST sit about 5-8mm AWAY from the flex plate. (Ie..you should be able to spin the convertor when the box is bolted to the engine) Then put 1 convertor bolt in..do it up to PULL the convertor upto the flex plate. Do all the way,,then loosen it a bit..now turn engine and install next bolt,,again, leaving a tad loose..do this with all bolts..THEN once all bolts are in convertor..Tighten them all up..
When all completed put 2ltrs oil in,,start engine ,,turn off..put 2 ltrs in start engine, run through the gears..check level..(at this point you should pick up movement in car)..Now take for small drive to get tranny hot,,check oil on level ground...(Engine running) add if nessesary..
You can copy this info and send to Bagnall etc for future referance for others..hahaha...As I WONT type this out again mate
lol
