I have looked further, suffice to say it is not easy. I am planning to build my soarer 'box instead, and if that breaks I will keep everyone updated on what I then go to.

from memory three of the 5 plugs are different,there is no kick down cable on the supra jza80 box,and the output shaft to driveshaft is completely different too.

the torque convertors are differing depths,the holes on the torque convertors are slightly different spacing,and the splined shafts that go into the convertor are different lengths,which could pose a problem to the oil pump in the trans. the supra(all 2JZgte) box requires a factory ECU to change line pressure when shifting, with out it, the trans will burn out.it's a sad state of affairs,... had to change my plans.
