I'm a fidgety driver so 90% of the time when i'm driving, I'm changing up and down gears manually to speed up and slow down.

Which brings me to my question, I was told that this could damage my transmission very quick. Is this true, just a myth or partially true?

myth....unless youre changing at innapropriate rpm's, both up and down. I do it too. Hence im manualising my a3430e to become sequentially shifted.

I do it to slow down for 90deg corners etc but that is it.

I like my box auto so when i go single I will have the supra stick controlling it for me :-)

Cool all these posts describe me. Just not the 135 sorry Ryan haha.

Well that eases the mind a bit, so far my box is holding up fine too, just didn't want to damage it. I have to admit i don't think i would have change my driving habits anyway.

Peter, I've been driving auto's that way for years too and never had any problems, even with old hydrolic operated autos that don't have all the idiot proofing of a modern ECT - never had any problems caused by it.
