It's usually impossible to get into 1st gear if I'm going anything faster than 10km/h ...
I have to say the R154 gearbox is a clunky box indeed, but I like it that way, lets you know you've actually done something besides just having a stick in your hand! ...
Am using Redline Lightweight Shockproof oil.

Give it about a month and it'll become easier.
I've had my Clutch and Flywheel replaced recently too (Excedy Organic and JUN light flywheel). It was very very tacky getting into First gear, but has since eased up.

In that case , I would do 2 more things : -check and see if the clutch is adjusted properly ; the clutch should disengage about mid-way through pushing the pedal to the firewall , or somewhere higher up . -check clutch fluid , make sure it is clean . to be sure , flush with new one.
These cars have a harder shift then most of manual vehicles ; my wife also says she finds it hard to change gears ( she is small and tiny , and she also drives a manual , we both hate automatics with a passion ) .
You also need to go to a full stop before engaging 1st gear , that is not a fault , but rather a restriciton due to design on manual gearboxes...
I found Redline MLC to be good for my gearbox , it has improved shifts when cold
Other than this , nothing helps but getting used to it.
