alright bit strange.... (or maybe not to some) every now and then when i start my car the OD light flashes on and off then comes up with an error ECT,
though if i push the OD button when i see it flashing it doesn't do it...
it mainly happens when its started on a cold morning, though it has happened a few times when i've been driving for a while...
any help on this would be great

Do you have the scrolling bar with stuff on your dash? Error codes will show up here.

If not, i think the OD light is used to show error codes on the povo dash.

O/D light flashing is ECT error. Usually sticky solenoids.

Hello guys well basically i'm having problems with mine transmission ...since my car does not pull forward or backwards when a gear is selected it just stands still.
I ran the ECT Test and it seeems that a solenoid is producing this error... so my question is does anybody know where this solenoids are located and what tools are required to removed for a close examination..

And also just in case if the solenoid cannot be repaired does anybody know where to get it in NSW.. Thank you guys..

Its either your solinoids are fulty.
Or your clutches in your tranny are starting to slip, and bringing up the error.
