I just had the O rings in my compressor etc. repaired and a/c regassed. I'm not sure if this is a prob or not, but it takes at least 15mins for the a/c to blow out 8 degree air, read cold air. It shouldnt take that long to blow out cold air. I can understand it taken a little bit to start blowing cold but not that long. My a/c specialist said that its got gas and that maybe a valve is not opening up all the way and letting the full amount of gas through. Should the air the a/c get colder quicker than this??

Yes it should. If working properly then it should start creating cold air straight away, especially if turned to max cold.
Your specialist could be on to something so get a quote or better still go to other specialists for other opinions before spending your hard earned money.

another thing that you should be aware is that the air cond cap will be removed pre-export from japan.(this only apply those vehicle imported after feb 2004)

even you fitted a new item after the vehicle arrived aus, it is possible that the system has some water/steam inside the pipe/cond.

you might need to de-gas the system and then use a special tool to suck all the water out and make sure it complete dry, then re-gas it.
