btw, tonight i cleaned my air filters. They were absolutely PUTRID !!!
I sprinkled them with napisan in the laundry basin and washed them with hot water and a spare 1" paint brush. I went thru 3 loads of black water and when i rinsed them they were nice and clear. I also recommend the spin dry on washing machines for 2 mins as well to dry them off. Now there is no more odour after turning the aircon off

Since when was 30 degrees Unusually hot??
Well, Gisborne has unusual weather for NZ Like Christchurch or Waiheke I guess, which also often get temps into the mid '30's during the summer - but for most of the country 25 is an average summer day (an 95+% humidity to go along with it here in Auckland!)

Yeh, tell me about it Matthew. Down here in New Plymouth we've been getting 32 degree days with 25 degree indoor night time temps and 97% percent humidity..............might as well move to friggin Darwin!

Man you guys need to experience 43 degree heat and 90% humidity and 0 wind. Or the other way, heaps windy and 45 degree heat. You either get wind burn or jock rot around these parts So much for living in the desert!
As for the Soarer, I was a bit concerned when I got her how she would handle the weather extremes here between summer and winter as it flogs most cars to death. Gotta love that Jap engineering, she never skips a beat

Hi guys i am doing my apprenticeship in air-con & refrigeration, R12 is longer made or allowed to be used as there are real hefty fines if court the replacement gas is R134A or SP34. SP34 is a straight swap for R12 and you don't have to change any of the oils or clean the system out. Hope this helps.

Kurt, I use X-Speed in O'Connor for all my soarer work. From memory the re-gas I got there was around $140. But $100 cash from Adam's mate sounds better to me!
