Does anyone know when there aux fan kicks in? Is it suppose to come on straight away when the aircon comes on? Or does it take a while. I have noticed this with my car:

1) Aux fan kicks in when aircon is off or on depending on how long the car has been idling in the heat.

2) Aux fan will not run continuously when aircon is on leaving the condensor to run really hot.

Is there suppose to be a switch in the aircon line which controls the aux fan?

I know Phils car run the aux fan continuously when the aircon is on, his car originally came out with a R134a system and mine is originally a R12 system. I wonder if there are differences between the two? Maybe this is why my fan doesn not come on? And not to mention Phils is a V8 and mine is TT, mayb that could make a difference too.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,

Cliff
