As per heading. I have done a search with no luck. Are the EMV and Non EMV cars equipped with a different air con computer?. This is the one under the dash to the left of the steering column.

Hopefully someone else can tell you for certain, but looking at the wiring diagrams, EMV and Non-EMV air con computers are different. This is because the EMV Air-Con computer is wired into the vehicle LAN which only the EMV type cars have (ie. thats how you control the aircon from the touch screen). Also it looks like the plugs might be different too. I can't say for certain though since I'm only looking at the wiring diagrams and have never actually seen both a EMV and Non-EMV aircon computer. But I'd be pretty certain that they would not be compatible due to the unit begin connected to the EMV via the vehicle LAN which only the EMV cars have.

Thanks Tim, I've also been looking at the diagrams and although the plugs seem different they are basically all the same colours and seem to be going to the same controls. I was hoping someone may have a part number of each.

What I cannot find in the wiring diagrams are the fan speed controls, the off control, the mode controls - basically all the controls on the non emv cars that control air con and climate controls.

I've been through the EPC Brett, but don't have anything conclusive to tell you. Once Damian puts up his part number I'll have a more thorough search in the catalogue for you

Don part number is 88650 but I think this is the non emv so I need to know if the emv has the same air con computer (to the left of steering wheel near console)

| Sorry Brett, but I'd need the full number, as in all 10 digits. And I can't see anything that LOOKS right in the EPC.

It's listed as a AMPLIFIER ASSY, COOLER STABILIZER Don. If it's the part I'm thinking of

| Ok, IF that's the part, then it's NOT EMV specific, but IS year specific. Also Brett, the number you gave matches up with the first part of the complete part number

You are all champions. Thanks for the responses gentlemen (I use that term extremely loosely ). That certainly clears up a bit Neil. I was going over all the different wiring diagrams for emv and non emv and it just didn't gel.

Remove the traction control! Very easy to do when it wasn't on the car to start with. (My favourite smiley!) I think I'm turning my 31 into a 30.

Nah. It is an aftermarket switch used for OD. Never had traction control at all. Wanted it to look like it belonged there.
