Isnt it the Temp sensor? for 93 models onwards? so u can see the degrees on your dash next to the clock....Air con sensor is on the passenger side dash board...thats what i was always lead to believe?

really? mines a 92 povo pack and it doesnt display the temp anywhere?

Interesting. if thats the Air Con temp sensor then where is the Degrees Temp Sensor? perhaps different for earlier and later models???

what exactly does the air con sensor do? detects the temp and adjusts to be cooler or hotter than the outside temp?

It is external air temp sensor for the climate control.

The A/C has different sensors. The one above is to measure external air temperature and is used to help decide if the climate control should open the vent or recirculate. Likewise the internal temperature sensor in front of the drivers left knee.

The sensor on the dash decides if the car is in direct sunshine, and if so, tends to boost the cooling up a notch.
