Hey guys,
Here's the situation. I read the threads with EPRs (Evaporator Pressure Regulator.) I was wondering if I was to just gut the regulator and seal it up would it work. Really, what is the significance of the EPR. Is it really necessary for the A/C to work. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Hi Patrick, we just got home from our holiday - Nice to me you and you and the Mrs. As for your EPR - don't gut it, it's there for a reason - Evaporator pressure regulator: Automatic pressure regulating valve mounted in suction line between evaporator outlet and compressor inlet. Purpose is to maintain a predetermined pressure and temperature in the evaporator.

Ok, Help me out. I need the rubber piece; Diaphragm but the dealership over here says that I have to buy the full EPR which costs approx. $590.00. Do you have any idea where I can get this rubber from or any type of silicone or coating to put on it to kind of seal up the cracks?
