My AC light has started blinking after I run the AC for 10-15 mins. I have seen lots of reports that point to my AC being low on gas however the air (when it is working) is plenty cold enough.
When the button starts blinking it cuts the AC and starts blowing warm but if I turn the AC button off and on, it will light up again and blow cold for a short while.
Firstly, its bloody hot at the moment am I ok in switching it back on?
Secondly, what could it be? I have it booked in, in a weeks time with Serge but I dont want to waste my money if I dont need to. I figure if it was low on gas it wouldn't be very cold.
Ill go run the diagnostics again over lunch and report back with what it says. I ran it last night and it came up with a 41 and 42 (air mix dampers) but I hadnt reset the diagnostics yet.
Mine does the same thing if I rev the engine till around 6000 revs apparently it is an limiter in the A/C to turn off at that revs, then I have to push the button again and it's working fine. An A/C man told me if it's low on gas it do the same thing.

Well, its been doing it every day since I posted it last.
It seems to handle itself fine when it is cooler <30degrees outside but when it gets hot it will start to flash after not very long.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good place to take it? Id like them to be comfortable with soarers and not charge too much. Somewhere in the city is ideal.

I believe Soarers have a habbit of giving warnings that something is on the way out before it actually gives out. Makes confusing when testing things for some as results may suggest everything is still in order and then it breaks!
If it is flashing then its possibly shutting down for whatever reason, potentially the system is too hot! I found that on very dry hot days in Perth over summer when karting a car load of people if there isnt enough airflow (ie, doing short bursts between sitting idle at traffic lights) the system turns off, presumably due to the temp of the engine...

I have the same problem, but I'm up in Darwin so it's warm and humid regularly.
Took it to a guy who said by sounds of it the compressor is on the way out, like it's starting to seeze up internally, so best just let it keep going until it completely flogs out so we know 100% what it is before it happens.
Basically the compressor rpm's can't keep up with the engines.
