Hi guys, As the topic states, my fans only operate when the A/C is on. I've tried every sort of button combination and have yet to come up with a solution. I've tried turning the A/C on then adjusting the fan speed then turning off the A/C, but when I pres the AC button, nothing happens -it's still off. when I press the Off button, everything turns off.. hmmm..

Yeah thats right. They should work regardless of whether the AC is being used or not. Did a trip upto the Jervis bay and couldnt find any combination to turn the fans on by itself

have you pressed "in" the "auto-temp" " cold - 18 through to 32 - hot " for the aircon fan which only kicks in when the cabin temp is higher than the temperature its set too.
"EMV" press the right top button and that is where the fan control " low - medium - high " is located on the screen.
and the fan for the radiator gradually increases speed as the radiator temp rises, its at its fastest when the aircon is on "kicks in"

Apologies, yes the in-cabin fans. And yes, I do have the EMV.
The in-cabin fans will only operate whilst the A/C is on. I want to be able to run the in-cabin fans without using the A/C, ie; when using the heater (even tho there heaps of heat seeping through from the mechanics, but thats another thread). I have tried controlling the fan speed thru the EMV and knob - same story - in-cabin fan only operates with A/C and the A/C button stays lit, no matter how many times I repress it..

Might be worth pulling the EMV out and checking the cables on the back. Another member just reported that weird happening were cured by making sure things were plugged in properly.
