Hello

I got my aircon regased.
It work fine from the day it was done (It was ICE cold). than i park my soarer in my shed for a day. To fix my door trims. And the next day i had to drive somewhere. guess what the aircon isn't working. I cant feel any cold air at all. (i later found out it was leaking)

And sometime later. I took my soarer back to the workshop that regassed my aircon. They regassed my aircon. But they had a problem the Compressor wasn't turning on. (so no aircon)

They said my TX valve might be blocked.

does anybody think they know what the problem is?

Sounds to me like you need to find a new workshop to service your AC system.

If the system is low on refrigerant that means that it has a leak which needs to be found and fixed.

There are a number of reasons why the compressor might not start - you really need to take it to someone who knows AC systems and can check the electrical side of things.

Matt.

if the compressor is low on refrigerant there is a switch that over rides the clutch and wont allow the compressor to enguage. Without gas the lubricating oil wont be transported throughout the system and wear will occur. Its basically a failsafe.

I would definately take it to a competant AC workshop. The system should be checked thoroughly for leaks after the regas.

Thanks matt. They did regas the system. They said they couldn't check for leaks because the Compressor wasn't turning on.

They did a pressure test. That was low and high pressure. they couldn't do the high pressure test.

Time to get someone to check the signal to the compressor then to make sure it's being told to start up.

If it's not then there is a problem somewhere. If it is and it's not starting then it might be seized.

You can manually activate the clutch by jumpering the wiring to the clutch, it's the single wire that runs to the front.

I had exactly the same thing happen, Got it gassed, Compressor came on fine, was ice cold for the whole day. They did a leak test on it, it held pressure fine.

Next day, compressor wouldn't come on. There is still gas in the system.

Will be taking mine to the workshop when i get time..

Blake, it's usually a good idea to say what the problem was so others can relate.

One of the top valves had gotten loose (it near the back on the engine and it has a blue cap on it)I think you use the valve to put the gas on or to test the aircon system

I think the valve was a test port or where the gas is charged. After it got tighted up it seems to be holding the gas fine. only time well tell if there are any leeks from under the dash as all the engine bay parts are fine.
