Hi everyone, swapped out a climate control with a TT into my NA today and either climate control wont function 100% in either car (temp is either only very low or very high, 5 bar heat settings actually dont reflect actual temp/air intensity etc).

just looking for double confirmation that this isn't an exceptional case and they are definitely not compatible with each other?

It's not a TT vs NA thing, its an early model vs later model incompatibility issue.

I assume you swapped the unit because the newer one has a better condition LCD panel? If so, you can mate the front 'display' section of the newer unit with the 'brains' of the older unit. The front part (black) separates from the rear part (white) quite easily - there is a tut I wrote a year or two on this site regarding LED swaps. Have a look at that, it shows how the two halves come apart.

ah that is probably it.
it is a swap between a 91 and 95 car.
I'm assuming that the same thing will happen between a 97 to a 95?
